Maker x Vans OTW Collection!! Now-Again Library Record.

We said that Maker Vs. Now-Again was made “with easy synchronization in mind.” Well, to prove just how easy it is, check the above video just released by Vans to promote their OTW Collection. The song is Maker’s “Hold ‘Em.” This is about as close as any of us here at Now-Again will come to living in one of L.A.’s Case Study Houses.

Maker Vs. Now-Again is available for sale at Stones Throw’s Webstore.

Video: “The Fresh Air Sydrome” by Que B.I.L.L.A.H.

Stacking accolade upon accolade, Que B.I.L.L.A.H.’s industry presence amasses positive feedback like city-parking receipts. With the beginning of warmer seasons arrives the debut of a video single release, “The Fresh Air Syndrome” (directed by Da Visionaryz–Syleena Johnson, Shawnna, Ben One). One of six total videos, the series will be released in October 2010 as a final composite EP titled, A Thousand Words.

Check out the video on YouTube.

Video: 1773 – “The Goodness/So Clear feat. Ezekiel38″

1773: It’s hard not to smile at something so authentic and genuine.  Particles of Chicago sentiment, youth, and modern chivalry fuse and concentrate in their music, their lyricism, their performance.

On their first full length release for 2010 titled Sound Soulstice (produced entirely by Australian producer ARKiV) 1773 has brought together a string of banging instrumental beats. The first of which is the lead single “The Goodness“. On wax, this track features Michigan MC Othello but on video we’ve got a two-fer for you! Ezekiel38 (of Vertual Vertigo) drops in during the last act to drop his verse from 1773’s song “So Clear” (the 2nd single from Sound Soulstice).

Check it out on on Vimeo or Youtube! Filmed and directed by Cam Be.

1773 “The Goodness” Behind the Scenes Photos

As collectors of sight and sound, 1773 has brought together a string of instrumental beats on their first full length release for 2010 titled Sound Soulstice. Produced entirely by Australian producer ARKiV, Sound Soulstice will be 1773’s third project on River City Music Entertainment (Japan). Release date 6/2/2010.  Songstress Natalie Oliveri, and MCs Othello (of Lightheaded) & Ezekiel38 (Vertual Vertigo) all lend their palettes to the album’s sonic portrait…

Que BILLAH “Fresh Air Syndrome” Photo Shoot

As with any of his other work, Que B.I.L.L.A.H. is creatively unique. “The Fresh Air Syndrome” is the first of the series’ still-image videos, carrying weight in the song’s expression over moving photos and visuals. “My decision to produce my new video with a sequence of singular images was inspired by my belief that imagery fulfills the relations of my craft and furthers its manifest” explains Que B.I.L.L.A.H.  Check out the video’s behind the scenes photoset here (via flickr).

1773 have been a part of every Blu concert here in Chicago for the past 2 years, and this weekend at the 2nd installment of the ‘Bring That Beat Back’ concert series was no different.

The song, “Makin’ Moves” is produced by Tall Black Guy and features MC/Producer 14kt of the Athletic Mic League (on wax, not at this show unfortunately!).  Sherron Shabbazz, the Hip Hop Examiner over at examiner.com, captured the fellas as they injected their energy into an already buzzing sellout crowd at one of Chicago’s premier live music venues, Subterranean.  Check out the video above for more…
